They way they showed Mephisto/Bird Mephisto (Birdphisto?) changing the past was so delicate and precise, and such a small change affected the timeline in such a huge way. Well, I hate the way it's been left, but I actually was totally on board with the first half or so of OMIT. I'm a Spider-Man fan until the end, so I'll unfortunately keep reading, but I've become embittered. Not only is this story riddled with plotholes, but it's entirely unsatisfying and does nothing to make me want to embrace the new status quo brought on by BND. If all of those stories are still 'valid,' like Quesada claims, then how about MJ's pregnancy during the Clone Saga? This side reality we're given doesn't change the fact that they've still thrown away things that we've read since 1987 when the marriage first occurred. The problem with this is that we, as readers, still know what really happened.
